Why did the world lose so much of its detail?

Take some of it back. Corsica Tradehouse opens soon.

It went quietly. Look along any train carriage. The same grey hoodie, the same black puffer, the same trainer in the same three colours. Nobody chose them for love. They were made to be bought without being looked at: collars that give up by lunch, seams that twist after the third wash, cloth picked for the price rather than the hand.

It costs more than it seems. Clothes nobody notices make days nobody remembers, the wearer included. You turn up dressed for nothing in particular, and nothing in particular happens. Multiply that by a few hundred Tuesdays.

Detail, put back. Corsica Tradehouse makes the everyday pieces (tees, shirts, knitwear, outerwear) with the details that went missing. A camp collar cut in two pieces, so it rolls instead of lying flat. Buttons sewn on a thread shank, so they sit up off the cloth. A 240-gram jersey that still hangs straight in August. You notice them the second time you wear it, and the hundredth.

Opening soon, online only. The first pieces go up on a Friday.* The list hears a day before anyone else, and it costs nothing to be on it. Leave your email and we will write when the doors, so to speak, are open.

*Opening date to be shared with the list before it is announced anywhere else. One email a week at most, usually fewer. Unsubscribe whenever you like; no questions, no follow-up. Prices and availability confirmed on opening day. Ships worldwide from the first order. Corsica Tradehouse sells online only and has no shops, stockists or outlets; anyone offering our clothes elsewhere is not us.
